Guide to Building & Development Process
Stage 1: DA/CC or CDC Stage:
The first step to any building and construction services is to attain the building approval. Depending on the development, some may be certified and approved by private certifiers otherwise you will require a formal development approval (DA) from your local council. Once approval granted we will require a construction certificate (CC) to start construction. Approvals through the local council can be long and expensive.
The benefit of going through private certificates, in a nutshell, is that it’s faster and cheaper. This process called a complying development certificate (CDC). Some development that may be approved through a private certifies is:

Stage 2: Construction Stage:
This is when the client will hand over the building services work to us. We will then undertake the Preliminary measures that usually are site-specific. Once we start construction works, it is usually a smooth process.

Stage 3: Occupation/Subdivision Stage:
This is the last stage of development. Once construction works completed and we attain the professional approvals, we will attain an occupation certificate (OC). An OC is a legal document allowing occupation of the building and proof that the building built is compliant with Australian standards.
